11 in 2011! Day 3.... Favorite Workout Tips

11 in 2001! It's Day 3 of the fun!

Today's topic is "Favorite Workout Tips"!

In 2010, I spent most of the year working on how I can work out differently. I really like tracking time and distance of my workouts. I have a message board in our office/workout room, and I use it to track my progress. Recently, I erased most of the 2010 info so that there's room for the new year's efforts! On my board, you'll find "Workouts since 12/26/2010" (because I just went with that date since it was the Sunday of the last/first week of the old/new calendar year). Below that, I have the minutes/distance, as appropriate, for running/walking/elliptical and for pilates/Jazzercise. I always like to see how much I've put into my workout goals for the year.

It's also important to have plenty of clothes for working out. If you only have one pair of workout pants/tops, then you're less likely to work out as often as you might want, unless you plan to wash/dry that one set very,very often.

Working out with a buddy is helpful. Sam is most often my workout buddy. Recently, though, I've been going back to Jazzercise a bit. It's a fun activity, and it's nice to see Caroline and Emily there.
