I'm so excited that in less than a week I will be starting my masters degree program! The program in completely online and will take thirteen-fourteen months through Nova Southeastern University in Florida. The best parts of it are that I am going through it with Mandy and Jennifer and that the degree's concentration is in brain research (which is basically the study of how brain development and what we know about how people naturally learn at different ages to practically teach to the best benefit of my kids). I just got my books/CDs/DVDs in the mail yesterday and have already been busy reading them. We're all excited to get started!
Today Sam went to the travel agency. Here's a little background info before I start this little story: Sam and I ALMOST booked a trip to Jamaica a month or so ago. But, then the next day I had a positive pregnancy test. You know the rest from here.... Anyway, we never booked that trip to Jamaica, and now that all those things happened, we really wanted to go somewhere but maybe not do the Jamaica thing right now. Back to today's story: Sam went to the travel agent and picked out two cruises during his lunch break. When I left school, he and I talked through the two options and made the decision. Then, I went ahead and booked it this afternoon!!!
Here's our plan:
This summer we will fly to Orlando/Port Canaveral, take a four day/four night Carnival cruise to Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas. Then we will stay in Orlando for a couple extra days to go to SeaWorld for a couple days. Woohoo!! This will be my first airplane ride ever and my first trip out of Tennessee in five years.
We are very proud of ourselves for booking this trip, as going on a cruise is something we've talked about for a couple years. There's no time like the present!
