Camille has not been a fan of baths. I didn't see it for myself since I was in recovery from the c-section, but Sam's mom and sister said that Camille was red as a tomato and very, very mad during her first bath. Once her umbilical cord fell off at two weeks, we began bath time at home. She HATED them. I mean, she really hated them. We tried many of the tricks we've heard (putting a warm wet washcloth on their belly during the bath, having a hand towel behind them in the infant tub, Sam talking to her the whole time and rubbing her little belly while I quickly would do the washing, etc.). But, bless her, she would still turn bright red, put her little arms out and shake them while screaming. I felt so bad for her because she is usually a very easy going, happy girl.
The last bath, though, she did so much better! We kept doing the same things during bath time, hoping that maybe she would just get used to it all. And, during her last bath, she lasted much longer before she was over it. Here's to hoping she'll continue to adjust to bath time!
