38 weeks

I didn't put a lot of effort into the 38 weeks photo. Oh, well... this is generally what I prefer to wear over work clothes anyway.

So, we are closing in... This pregnancy is almost done! It's hard to believe!

We had our most recent weekly appointment a few days ago. At this one, we had another ultrasound. After making several measurements, the ultrasound tech measured Camille at 7lbs., 15oz. She is a big, healthy girl! The tech also estimated that, by the due date Dec. 22, she would be well over 9lbs! That's amazing (and daunting!)!

Pregnancy highlights....
weight gain... 15 lbs. total

maternity clothes... That's about all I wear out of the house. At home, I can still wear my comfy pants and a few larger t-shirts.

size... According to last week's ultrasound (5 days ago), she was 7 lbs. 15 oz. That means she's in the 90th percentile for her weight. So, if I had to guess, based on that ultrasound being accurate, she's probably 8lbs 2 oz. for sure by now. Goodness! Dr. Neblett has gone ahead and set up our induction date for next week. I can't believe that we are at this point! I am curious to see how big she'll really be when she's born!

belly button: It's like its own little planet.

movement: This poor baby. I know she's got to be uncomfortable. The ultrasound photos showed her little face kind of smashed. She's completely out of room. Her little feet and legs run up and down my side more frequently than ever. According to the ultrasound, her head is down, her little rear end is on side of my belly button, her hips are on the other side of my belly button, her knees are down near one shoulder and bent, and her little feet are pointing up at my side. Basically, she is in an upside down U shape. No wonder her movements are feel pokey and jabby. She's just trying to get comfy!

cravings: popcorn, Cracker Barrel, cheese ball/Wheat Thins

what I miss: I'm not complaining because I am happy to be in this situation and enjoying these moments. But, sleeping without getting up to go the bathroom every hour and a half would be kind of nice. :)

sleep: I haven't had any crazy dreams this week. I am becoming a very light sleeper, in combination with also going to the bathroom a lot at night.

symptoms: Braxton Hicks from time to time, contractions that actually hurt (I've had these a few times), lots and lots of heartburn

best moments: We are ready for this girl! We have all her things (we think!). We are just about packed (except for the camera and little things like make-up/hair dryer, etc.) for the hospital. Now, we are just ready for one last calm and peaceful weekend before life as we know it changes! The absolute best moment was seeing her in another ultrasound. We can't wait to see this girl in person!

this weeks' appointment:
We had the ultrasound and found out her current weight. I found out my current weight. Dr. Neblett went ahead and scheduled my induction date, in case I do not go into labor on my own by the due date. Camille is doing well. I'm effaced a bit, but that's about it.

what we are looking forward to:
our last weekend before having a baby (What to do, what to do... We thought about making lots of plans. But, spending more time at home seems so much more tempting!), December 20, our first Christmas with our baby girl

Today was Snowman Day at school. This is most of our kindergarten team. Camille really made my outfit pretty funny today. :)

Awesome! Don't put too much store by their weight estimates. I haven't heard of those being too accurate anyways. They told me L would be 8 1/2 or 9 lbs and he was 7'10.
