I am excited and a little nervous that we are so close to meeting Camille!
Our to-do list is shrinking rapidly. We just have a few things that we still want/need to accomplish before our little monkey arrives.... sterilize bottles, pick up a few last things, and make sure we have the bag totally packed for the hospital. It's not too much, thank goodness!
weight gain:
13 lbs total
maternity clothes:
I am still loving them and will miss them! I am looking forward to ordering a few new things for me to wear after she arrives, especially shoes. I want a new (or two) pair of shoes for Christmas, but I want to wait and make sure that my feet are the same size after she's born. It's hard to tell because they do swell a little bit after I've been standing at work all day.
size:
Dr. Neblett estimated last week that she is probably about 6.5 lbs. now.
belly button:
It's still way out.
movement:
She's moves frequently, but it's more of a "I have no room left in here" kind of movement. I can see and feel what I am sure is her foot going up my side several times a day. I can also see her sticking out her little hips and rear end. I think she is just trying to get comfortable.
cravings:
We have been to Cracker Barrel after the last two appointments. I am wanting home-cooked food, but I am a little too tired most days to care to cook it myself!
what I miss:
I don't really miss anything. But, if I did, it would be eating without reflux showing up.
sleep:
I sleep hard and then get up to go to the bathroom every 1.5-2 hours. This week's crazy dream.... I went to the hospital and had Camille, but she was a "Baby Think It Over" doll like we had in high school for our child development class.
symptoms:
You know, the usual.... Braxton Hicks here and there, heartburn/reflux, going to the bathroom all the time.
best moment:
Sam's coworkers threw him a surprise baby shower. It was very sweet. I'll post about it soon!
this week's dr.'s appointment:
I have gained a total of 13 lbs. Camille is doing well. Sam once again demonstrated his super skills at finding her heartbeat quickly with the doppler. Dr. Neblett started to do an exam but then didn't (I was aggravated, but that's another story). He did say, however, that he could feel her head.
what we are looking forward to:
meeting our sweet girl in just a couple weeks
36 weeks
37 weeks
