Camille first started taking a few steps at a time in late January/early February. (We have a few short videos of that, too.) But, she wasn't really motivated to really walk on her own until just after Easter. The motivation came from outside time at Mrs. Stephy's house one day. It was one of the first pretty days we had this year. Stephy took all the kiddos outside to play and get a little fresh air. All the other kids were walking around/rolling around/scooting around on the driveway, and Camille just wanted to crawl. Being that she's the "baby" over there and so well loved, Stephy didn't want her messing up her knees. So, Camille spent her outside time in the jump jump toy over at Steph's house. When I went to pick her up that afternoon, it was the first day she ever gave Stephy the stink eye! She certainly wasn't happy that her friends were running and walking around and she was stuck in the jump jump.
The next day, Stephy was making everyone's snack while Camille was sitting in the kitchen. When she called everyone over for snack (and as she was getting ready to go get C for snack), little lady stood up where she was and just about jogged over to Steph! From that point on that day, Camille pretty much walked or tried to jog everywhere she went!
So, as far as walking goes, I guess the best description of this milestone is that she was able to do it at 13 months but chose to really do it at 15 months!
