Dressmaking

I have been on Pinterest for a few months now but haven't really used many of the ideas I've found.  So, this weekend I finally got around to putting some of my pins to good use.  I used these two pins....

It's been a while since I've taken the time to get out the sewing machine and really try out a new project.  This weekend was a good opportunity to do that since Sam and I had no plans and I could work on my little projects while he was getting in some dad-daughter time with the girl.  I want to make a few more dresses for this summer now that I feel a little more confident in how to make these and could probably make them a little more quickly and better next time.
