So, I called my fertility doctor's office today to find out for sure if we are supposed to try the same protocol (letrazole to make the follicles grow + ultrasound + trigger shot to force ovulation + daily meds) or if they want to wait to decide until next week's consult.
But, my fabulous doctor instead decided to just make the decision today so that I can skip my consult! Here's the new plan:
*daily meds every day
*letrazole on days 3-7 (to get the follicles to grow)
*Follistim (follicle growing chemical) shots on days 5, 7, 9
*ultrasound and bloodwork (to make sure the shots do what they should and that my blood demonstrates that) on day 10
*Ovidrel ovulation trigger shot when ready
Tomorrow I will go for my injection training. Wish me luck! I am not at all confident with the idea of correctly giving myself a shot. I better be a good student tomorrow!
That's the new combo! Whatever happens, I am fine with it, to be honest. It's exciting to try a new process, and I'm just so glad that we are eliminating more and more of what hasn't worked so that we can figure out what to do next. If this process works, that wonderful! And, if it doesn't, then I am good with that, too.

Is is an IM shot or just subcutaneous? I had to do the progesterone (intramuscular in my legs for 12 weeks with Kate)...and I am no weanie when it comes to shots but it was really tough. I hope yours are just subcu...best of luck (and Godspeed:)
Will say a BIG prayer for you! I give myself allergy shots and the first couple of times I was nervous but now it is no big deal at all. You will do great:)
So glad you have such a wonderful doctor! You'll do fine with the shots!
Said a prayer for you last night and will continue to do so!
