When I was little, I had two things I wanted to do when I grew up.... be an architect and be a teacher.
I loved playing school. My grandma and grandpa would entertain my little dramatic playtime by being fabulous students for my little four year old self. And, when I was done playing school, I'd always spend a few minutes putting my little plastic Goody barrettes in my grandpa's white hair. I'm sure he loved that!
My other favorite thing was drawing house plans. My momo was often kind enough to indulge me and take me to look at new construction. With all my new ideas, I'd get out my graph paper (when I was serious) or my notebook paper and draw up these complicated homeplans. Every house had to have a big entryway large enough for a generous sized fountain. Who knows why! I guess every artist has their signature. haha. And, every plan was only complete once I'd fully furnished it with my little furniture plans. Sometimes the furniture was drawn into the plan. Sometimes I'd get fancy and use separate crayon-colored drawings to cut and tape furniture into the plans so that it could be "moved around" for my pretend clients. This was serious business, y'all!
Obviously, we all know that I chose teaching. But, I still love houses. In fact, I still like to drag Sam along with me on the weekends to look at houses when the weather is pretty. Any guesses as to what we'll be doing some time today or tomorrow? :)

We LOVE looking at houses too!!
When I dragged Sam to Willie's apartment, I told him I like to "House Hunt"! He said "you and Leslie both"!!
Girl...next time, we need to hit up some open houses! (Seriously, call me b/c I'm game) My nosy self likes to look at other homes!
(oh and I always "taught" growing up but didn't have any live students! ha!)
