Marathon Man

This past Saturday Sam ran the St. Jude Memphis Marathon!

We got up early and headed downtown around 6:45. Laura planned to be a spectator with me, so we parked at her condo and walked down for the start of the race.

Sam's friend Jon ran a mile with him. What a nice thing to do for someone.

This is the last pic I have of him running. He was on his own for miles 13-26. But, we were all ready at the finish line, excited to greet him.

We shouted and screamed, cheered and took pics and video.

Congrats, honey! It's such an awesome thing to run a full marathon. The fact that you did it in just over five hours your very first time is great! And, the fact that you put a lot of your training on hold to spend time with me this last month is just one of the things you've done to show how good and supportive you are. You're awesome! I love you! Congrats, Sammy!
