And now for the high risk doctor...

Today I saw the high risk pregnancy specialist/maternal-fetal medicine specialist, Dr. Schneider. He was wonderful! His personable, friendly nature really impressed me! He said that he believes that I won' t need quite so many shots each day as my fertility doctor thought and that he would get in touch with her to make a joint decision. So, if they agree, once I get pregnant I would take just one shot of Lovanox each day until 34 or 36 six weeks and then two shots of heparin until a day before the induction date. After the (theoretical) baby is born, I would have to take Lovanox shots once a day for six weeks to make sure that the clotting is absolutely not an issue. He said that this plan, as long as the future baby doesn't have chromosomal issues, the pregnancy success rate would be 80%. So, that's good! Now that I've had three appointments in eight days, I can say without a doubt that I've got a whole medical team working to help us have a baby one day. Now, we'll just keep on praying and hoping!
