the weirdest dream

I had the absolute craziest dream this morning. Okay, first I got up around 5 a.m. to take my daily "baby lab" medicine, as I call it. Then, I did my best to go back to sleep for a while. I must've finally nodded off, because the next thing I knew...

Sam had this new pet spider/creature (gross) that he named Asterisk. It must've earned its name based on its appearance. This thing looked just like the little symbol... six appendages, a middle section, and scary, googly eyes. He also seemed about five inches in diameter. Sam would spend the evenings watching TV, while Asterisk would lie on his chest looking at him (much like Tanner does). I told Sam I'd had enough of Asterisk and wanted him out of the house. Sam reluctantly agreed. Apparently, Asterisk didn't want to leave home and clung to Sam's shirt. Sam pried him off with a pencil. His little buddy then clung to that. Being that this was a dream and dreams aren't typically rational, we did not think to just toss Asterisk and his pencil outside to free him. No, instead, I was shouting for Asterisk to leave. Sam was trying to fling him off the pencil and shoo him away. Instead, Asterisk flew off the pencil and into my shouting, open mouth.

At this point, I was in bed gasping and Sam was shaking me to wake me up. Weird.
