I got a Kindle. For my birthday. From Sam. It's fabulous!
A little issue we've been having around our house is that I like books too much and storing them is becoming a problem. So, my brilliant husband ordered this cool gadget. I can download books straight from Amazon.com in less than 60 seconds wirelessly from home. It can store up to 3500 books that I can then read any time. Even new books that would be up to $25 and $30 for hardbacks are just $10 in this format. Lots of books are a lot cheaper, and some are even free. So far I have downloaded three books that I am so excited to read (the new Sophie Kinsella, the new Beth Harbison, and the new Lauren Weisberger books). Reading on the Kindle is so easy since there is basically no glare, not even in bright sunlight. Plus, it can sync to my iphone where I can finish a page in a book in the Kindle, sync it to my phone, and then read on my phone, and keep on syncing and switching. It always keeps up with the last page you read. The Kindle also has a feature where if you aren't feeling like actually reading but still want to know what's going to happen in your book, it can read to you.
Awesome bday present!
Can you tell I like the Kindle?
