Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

So, right now I am currently doing a few different workouts each week.

The first one is my new Pilates program, Winsor Slim. I've been a big fan of Winsor Pilates since 2002. Admittedly, I've gone through phases where I got a little tired of the DVDs I had and took a break. Overall, Mari Winsor does help me get results and get more toned pretty quickly, and I'm excited that she has a whole new program. Her new program, Winsor Slim, comes with the "accelerator", which is a set of components (weight bar, bar, handles, resistance cord, etc.) that can be configurated differently to be used for each of eight different workout segments. I've been using the dvd since last Thursday and can already feel changes happening in my abs. Today I began actually using the suggested routine and rotation of workouts. This is a four week rotation. I am looking forward to seeing the results and finding out how strong and flexible I will become. This program is also good because it's just 20 minutes each day, and it really helps me get stretched before getting on the elliptical or treadmill.

The second thing I've been doing is keeping up with my Self Challenge. I have been stretching
out each of the three month programs to make each month's workouts go for about a month and
a half. I am and will continue to use this workout program for a while, since it's so flexible.
Generally, I use this one for the elliptical and shoot to do it five days each week.

The last thing I have been doing is the Couch to 5K program on my iPhone. I will begin week 4
this week.

This kind of looks like a lot to do, but it really isn't. The Pilates program is five days a week.
The Self Challenge is five days a week. And, Couch to 5 K is three days each week. So, really
will do the first two things each of the five days and build in Cto5k on just three of them. My hope
is to lose 15 pounds. I am not really giving myself a time limit on this, since I know that there will
be setbacks and that I will have times where I am working out and not seeing the number on the
scale change (I will assume it's because I'm building muscle!).

The only thing I am thinking about doing differently is perhaps changing from Couch to 5K and
beginning the new women's beginning runners program that starts tomorrow night. This
program is sponsored by the Memphis Runners Club. I checked their schedule and I know that
I am about two weeks ahead of their program. However, I think the benefits would be that I would
learn to run outside (which I don't do now) and that I would hear experience and tips from
experienced runners. Anyone want to join me? I know of one person already, but I am
wondering if there's anyone else.

since June 1, 2010:
158 miles on the treadmill and elliptical
312 minutes of Pilates
