*Jennifer and I went to Merry Marketplace back in October. I always look forward to going to this each year. It's just fun to go out and shop and see what people love to make and sell. This year I found a few things I love! I got a couple new necklaces and this cool thing called a Scentsy. One necklace is like three in one, with chains at three slightyl different lengths, with the longest chain having a sparkly dark silver cross on it. Too cute. The other necklace is a multi-chain, short necklace with a removable big, chunky square pendant that says "hope" inside a shadow-box style thing with other little sparkly things inside. I really should post a picture to give you the idea. And, I really need to figure out how to get more of it for gifts for Christmas. My other great purchase was my Scentsy lamps. I got a giraffe print and a brown with white polka dot flowers. I chose the cinnamon roll wax, and man, does that things make the house smell good! Yum!
*I started my next masters course. This one is about children with learning disabilities and children with behavioral issues. I like the class, but this teacher is a lot harder. We only have two weeks left of this class. Then, there are only two classes and my masters project to go!
*We had our school carnival. The kindergarten teachers did face painting. My auction baskets sold for a pretty good price. With the profits, I was able to buy some learning games and supplies I needed for my classroom.
*We've begun building our fence. The posts are in the ground, and Sam and my dad are working on putting up the runners and the pickets as time allows. It's a long process, but we will be so glad to have done it once it's finished.
*We are dogsitting for Laura while she is in the Caymans with Brent. Trolley Belle is such a good girl, and the boys have had a good time with her.
*This week I am off work for Thanksgiving break! Yippee! This past Sunday we went to Haley's for our first Thanksgiving dinner for the year. Sam's mom made this awesome chicken and dressing casserole. I have to remember to get her recipe. Sunday night we went to Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Orpheum. I love going there to see shows. Seeing the performers' awesome talents and physical abilities really made me want to go back to the gym. :)
*Yesterday, I bought some Christmas gifts for the kids in the family. Landen (5) is getting a board game and a Star Wars figure. Breana (5) is getting two of those little Animal Alive Mini Cubs. I was very impressed with Target's coupon book. There were some good deals in there! It was a good start to the holiday shopping.
*I got a Snuggie. It's zebra print. It's warm, and it makes me happy.
So that's it in a nutshell!
