Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Friday, February 10, 2012

It seems like every post is about catching up lately... Oh well.  I've been busy watching a certain someone smile at me and discover her mobile. :)  I'm going to try to keep up with the February Photos and still connect them to what we've been up to/what we're up to as best I can....

Photo Day 4: A Stranger
Tim Hawkins

Tomorrow Sam and I are going on a Valentine's Day date.  We've never actually been big on doing stuff for Valentine's Day, but we figured we'd give it a try this year.  So, we are going out to dinner (somewhere) and then going to Hope to see Tim Hawkins. He's a comedian.  We've never been to see a comedian, and we're really excited to see him.  Plus, he's a Christian comedian, so he's funny without the stuff that's offensive.  Here's a clip...

Photo Day 5: 10 a.m.
Here are a few photos from 10 a.m. over the last couple days...

I'll post details next Tuesday about what she's been up to the last couple weeks.

Photo Day 6: Dinner
Last night I went to my friend Courtney's Pampered Chef party.  I have never been to one and was looking forward to it.  I ended up ordering this stoneware baker and the cookbook that goes with it.  The Pampered Chef rep made all of us these wonderful chicken fajitas in 17 minutes in the microwave using this neat dish!   She even cooked the chicken breasts in the microwave!  I thought it might taste gummy or not be fully cooked, but it was delicious! I can't wait to get mine and try it!  You can even make molten cakes in it!  I already have a ton of recipes using this dish and the microwave!  Easy easy!

Photo Day 7: Button
IMG_8555
How cute is this button flower!  And, it's so easy to make!  Just pick out fabric and cut into various size circles.  Sew the largest circle to a piece of felt.  Then, stack all the other fabrics, sew with a little X to keep them attached, and hand sew a button on top.  Cute!  The  full instructions are here.

Photo Day 9: Front Door
This photo is from the last time we had a lot of snow.  (And, where we live, a lot means 2 inches!)  We actually have shrubs now.  It's taken a long time for our mud-packed flower bed to actually be a livable place for plants.  We're finally getting there...

Photo Day 10: Self Portrait

This is our most recent self-portrait.  It was from last summer.  We had just parked and were going into the dr.'s office to find out the gender of our sweet girl.

That's all for the catch-up game tonight!
