21 and 22 weeks

This pregnancy is flying by!

last week at 21 weeks pregnant...

this week at 22 weeks pregnant...

Sam and me this weekend at Momo's 92nd birthday party...

weight gain:

still about 2-3 pounds, I guess... Some days the scale says less, so I am not sure any more.

maternity clothes:

I really like maternity clothes. Not having to wear a belt is great!

gender:

precious baby girl

Camille's size:

around a pound, around 10-11 inches. She's about the size of a papaya now!

belly button:

It's sitting flush with my belly now.

movement:

I am beginning to catch on to her movement patterns. It seems like she shifts around 6 a.m., when I wake up, to get in a comfortable position again. Then, I usually feel her little twitches between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. I am thinking she's sleeping a good bit for the rest of the afternoon. Around 6 p.m., she gets going again and is the most active. She'll keep on moving pretty regularly until around 10 at night. This week, Sam has been talking to my belly with his head near my belly button, and he has felt her bump him three times! Ha! I have also been able to watch her make my belly move with her little bumps. Sometimes it's such big bumps that I can see do it under my shirt! Love it! I never get tired of her moving.

cravings:

pasta, sliced green apples, Rocky Road ice cream, Mexican food (On the Border is my fave restaurant right now.)

what I miss:

nothing!

sleep:

I have crazy dreams. I have dreamed that Justin Timberlake has died. Twice. In one dream, he died because I wouldn't pull him out of the Mississippi River when he was crossing it (by playing leap frog) with Sam and me. The other time, I dreamed he turned into a cartoon fish and I bit his head off. I have also dreamed that Sam was wearing a white leotard and couldn't get out of it. There have been so many others. They're crazy. Last night I dreamed I drank a whole bunch of beer at a friend's house while pregnant while she was doing having a big open house. I woke up, first I was mad at myself and upset that I had been drinking. Then, I realized that I'd only dreamed it.

what I am looking forward to:

this week's appointment, ordering the crib, painting Camille's bedroom walls (cream) and her dresser (green) and chest (pink), registering for childbirth class

symptoms:

I am starting to have some shortness of breath if I talk a lot. I think my organs are starting to get pushed up a bit to make more room for the baby.

best moment this week:

We ordered her crib bedding, and it came in the mail two days later. It's perfect. Sam talks to her in my belly, and she bumped him a few times this week. We've been working on the shower invitation list, too. I am blessed to have awesome friends who want to do such a nice thing as throw a shower for us.

Here's Camille's crib bedding. We looked at so many and weren't really seeing anything we liked. Then, we found some custom bedding online and ordered swatches. The swatches weren't at all what we thought they'd look like in person. So, I gave pottery barn kids a try, even though I thought it would cost too much. But, really, their nursery bedding prices aren't that different than other places. So, this is it! It's the Brooke bedding set.
