cruise #3, part 5

On Friday, the weather was cool and drizzly, not exactly preferable cruise weather. We all found a big table and some lounge chairs around the pool/bar/buffet area that has a sliding dome. We ate Mexican, Chinese, American, and grilled food for lunch. We all figured that we were done with our bathing suits, so why not eat a little extra on the last day? :)

Saturday morning we were sad to get off the ship. But, we did enjoy breakfast at Cafe DuMonde, walking around downtown and the French Market, and then lunch at Margaritaville. I had never had beignets before; they are messy but good! And, at Margaritaville Sam and I shared queso and a bbq cheeseburger. Delicious!

Annalyn and Chuck rode home with us. We got home around 6 p.m. I can't wait for another "Redneck Yacht Club" vacation!

In case you wonder why we like cruises so much....
1. If you book early (or at the last minute!), you can get a great deal for a great vacation.
2. The "fun days at sea" are as fun as the excursions. There's a lot to do, or you can sit on a lounge chair read a book all day if you want.
3. The days at port are fun, too. You can choose from lots of options (snorkeling, beach time, cave tubing, deep sea fishing, historical tours, shopping tours, etc.). They are all guaranteed to be fun!

It's nice to think back about the fun of cruising, especially on such a rainy weekend! Happy rainy weekend!
