The air is working. We're chipper again. :)
My mom's coworker at the real estate office has an HVAC license. He was nice enough to come out today, check our freon (sp?), realize the freon level is fine, realize the capacitor was getting ready to blow up, drive all the way to Broad to the parts place to get a replacement, and replace the capacitor. And, all this time and effort only cost us $88! He was fabulous! The house is cooling down. It will probably take a few more hours, since it got up to 88 degrees in here and we have such high ceilings/a whole lot of air to cool. It's such a relief to know that we will likely fall asleep before 2:30 in the morning. And, most importantly, I get to bury myself beneath all my layers of bedding again. Ahh... the joy of air conditioning. Special thanks to my great husband for taking a half day from work.
So today was my first official day back to school. It's always bittersweet to know that summer break is over and a school year is beginning. This time of the year is so fresh and new. We had a lot of good news at school today, too. Our schedules look great. We had a good and productive administrative day. I am happy about my early duty day. So far, so good! Tomorrow is a big day... registration for the "big kids" in the morning and then kindergarten orientation in the evening. Busy busy!
