Time flies with sweet little Camille in our life!
Height/Weight:
We went for her nine month check-up on Sept. 21. She weighed exactly 20 lbs and is 28.25" tall. Head circumference is 46.25 cm. She was in 75th or 80th percentile for all three measurements.
Highlights this month...
*Separation anxiety has become more apparent. She is fine and dandy playing in the floor in the living room as long as she can see us. But, if she sees us walk away from her for a moment, she gets pretty upset. We are working on this.
*She loves to practice standing and walking with help.
*I promise, she has already figured out who is "mama" and who is "dada". When I am changing her in her room, she turns her head toward the doorway and yells "Dada!". When Sam is changing her, she turns away and yells "Mama!" This has happened several times.
*Her Lala kept her one afternoon when I had a dentist appointment. When I left the house, she started shouting "Mama!". My kid's a genius, I've decided. :)
*When she babbles, she uses inflection in her voice and the sweetest and funnies facial expressions.
*She bangs toys together.
*Her little legs are getting stronger. She enjoys being in her walker and in her jump jump.
*She is becoming much more independent at trying to stand on her own. We still support her, but she is becoming more and more balanced.
She is still wearing size 3 diapers. She is mostly wearing 9 month clothes. A few 12 month things are starting to fit well, especially the pants because of her long legs.
Her favorite toys....
Fisher Price Carnival Tumblers
her little purple plastic rattle phone
her zebra (always a favorite)
Fisher Price mailbox
activity table
her Thumper stuffed animal
Hungry, Hungry Girl
She likes pretty much anything we give her to eat. She is as big a fan of veggies as she is of fruit. She is starting to like chunkier foods. She likes meat and veggie combos more. She is loving Gerber Puffs and Yogurt Melts.
Sleeping
She is going to bed around 7:30 or 8 and is sleeping through the night most nights. Lately, there have been a few nights when she wakes up around 1 or 2 and it takes her a while to go back to sleep.
Napping
She just isn't a big napper during the day. Usually she will nap a total of 30 minutes to an hour at Stephanie's while I am at school. She may take a short nap around 9 and possibly another around noon.
Talking
She is saying "mama" and "dada" even more frequently now. She has started making this huffy face and babbling a lot more. She uses a lot more inflection when she babbles.
Her hair is getting to the point that it needs brushing. So sweet!
Her personality is blossoming. She definitely has a strong willed streak about her. She will do things when she is ready and willing (roll onto her tummy and stay there, try a new food, take a nap). She will tell you when she is happy. She will really let you know when she is not, though that's not very often at all (thankfully). She loves cuddling, being held tight to fall asleep, looking at trees through the window when she rides in the car, laughing at her mommy and daddy, staying up with Stephanie when the other kids are napping, Mommy's jewelry, and music.
I can't remember what we did without that sweet baby girl.
In the last month, she...
* started to like tummy time a little better
* has figured out how to pull toys toward her, rather than going to get them
* had her second ear infection* has become more comfortable sitting in high chairs at restaurants* has spent lots of time playing
* went with me to the fertility clinic to request my file to be released to my other doctor because her wanted to see my background info. It felt surreal taking her in there.
