pregnancy highlights:
weight gain/loss:
2.5 lbs total so far. It may be different when I go for my next appointment this Friday.
maternity clothes:
Love them! So comfy! I still wear a few of my regular shirts from time to time, but they are looking a little more awkward fitting.
gender:
sweet little girl
Camille's size:
I had an impromptu dr.'s visit last week. On the ultrasound last Wednesday, she was measuring 2 lbs. even. According to baby center, she is now 2.2lbs and 15in. long.
belly button:
It pops out when I laugh. When she sits right against it, it pops out then, too. Other than that, it's pretty much still flush with my belly.
movement:
She is becoming more and more active throughout the day. I feel her a lot more often now. We love watching her shift around in there in the evenings. "Guess the body part" is still big entertainment for Sam and me. I do know, from last week's ultrasound, that she is still upright and that her head is sitting right at my belly button. So, that makes guessing a little easier.
cravings:
salty and sweet. My interest in veggies and fruit is all but gone. I have to make myself eat those.
what I miss:
not a thing!
sleep:
I am sleeping well. By 8 or so at night, I'm ready to get in bed. I am wide awake at 5 or so every morning.
symptoms:
My feet are trying to swell a little in the afternoons if I am standing a lot during the day.
best moments this week:
It was kind of a weird week...
* My prescription insurance denied coverage on my daily blood thinner shots. (I still take my prenatal vitamin, thyroid med, calcium, two folic acid supplements for my inability to metabolize regular folic acid, baby aspirin, and a daily shot to keep my blood from clotting. Later on, I'll have to bump it up to two shots each day). So, without insurance, my monthly bill for those shots would be $985. After Sam, my doctor, and I made lots of phone calls to my rx insurance company, they allowed my shots to be covered again. Thank goodness! So, even though it was a pain at the time, the issue we had is now a highlight because the company just confirmed for me yesterday that I shouldn't have any more problems with coverage through Feb. 2012, when I am allowed to be done with shots 6 weeks after having Camille.
* I also had to go see my dr last Wednesday. It was an unscheduled visit, but he wanted to see me because of a question/concern I called about because I had been exposed to a disease that is dangerous for pregnancy. Everything turned out great, and my dr. felt that since I was exposed after the 18 week mark in my pregnancy, that everything should be fine. He let me have a little bonus ultrasound while I was there, just to be sweet. Poor Sam, this has been the only appointment he didn't get to go to (because we thought they were just going to draw blood)... He was sad he missed seeing her!
We have next Friday's glucose test, and then an appointment Oct. 7 for our actually scheduled 3d ultrasound!
Can you see her taking a big breath?
The ultrasound tech turned her machine to 3d for a minute to be sweet. I am partial, of course, but this is probably the cutest baby on earth. :)
She has Sam's lips, and I think she may have my nose.
And, here she is with her left arm and both legs in front of her face. Those are some long feet, too!

I'm glad everything checked out ok...how scary. I'm also glad your insurance company agreed to pay for your shots. What a pain.
Camille is so cute already! Can't wait to see her in 3D!
