Memorial Day Weekend 2011/ Our Anniversary

First, I want to tell everyone thanks for all your sweet comments about our big news from the last post. It means a lot to me to have so many supportive and kind blog friends! Tomorrow is our next appointment. I will be sure to post an update.

So, the first weekend of summer has come and gone. And, it started with a bang! We left Saturday morning to go to the Buffett concert in Nashville. Mandy and David were our travel buddies. By the way, it was also our seventh anniversary Saturday! I can't believe we've been married seven years! Time flies when you're having fun!

I think we're better with age! Haha

We had lunch at Margaritaville. We all shared Volcano nachos, and I had a grilled chicken sandwich. If you've never been to Margaritaville, you must go. The atmosphere is fun, and the food is delicious. Plus, one entree is plenty for two people to share.

The street party was happening downtown with a live band and giveaways.

Afterward, we went back to our hotel and chatted by the pool for a bit.

Of course, the best part of the weekend was the concert. Jimmy Buffett did a great job performing, and there was a special surprise performance by Kenny Chesney. We had a big time!

We drove home Sunday afternoon and did nothing that evening but sleep!

On Monday my parents had a cookout.

Today, for summer day #1, I took a nap. :) We're planning to go to Old Venice Pizza for dinner for our little just-us anniversary date. Yum! I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend, too.
