On Wednesday, we reached Isla Roatan, which is an island just out from Honduras. Our plan for Roatan was a fun beach day. The weather and scenery were beautiful.....

This was the area you reached when you first get off the dock.
The "magical flying beach chairs" took us from the docks and shopping area to the private beach.
At the beach, each couple had a clamshell. The weather was so warm that you either needed to be tucked into the shade of the shell or in the water.
From our clamshell, we watched another ship, the Valor, come into port. The ships have to be backed in around a big, curvy "lane" of water, which takes about thirty minutes or so. I sure wouldn't want to be the one with that responsibility.
We enjoyed our time in Roatan and later took our beach chair ride back to the dock. That night many of us skipped the formal dinner. I was hot and worn out, so the buffet sounded like a great idea to me!
