I thought this looked like a fun little questionnaire on my friend Caroline's blog, so I thought I would copy and paste it!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
I like wrapping gifts more. This year I want to use more ribbon with wire to "fluff" up the gifts!
2. Real tree or artificial?
We have always had an artificial tree. My family has always had the same one; it's the kind where every branch is separate and you have to put it together one by one. That tree is from when my dad was little, so we have always used it. At our house, though, we have a newer one with white lights. I don't know the first thing about watering a real one and keeping it looking good for a few weeks.
3. When do you put up the tree?
This year I couldn't wait any longer and put it up Thanksgiving morning before I started cooking. Usually we put it up that evening or the day after.
4. Do you like eggnog?
I have never had it! But, I love it when Starbucks bring out the Pumpkin Spice Frap every year. That counts, right?
5. Favorite gift received as a child?
I was a BIG Barbie fan! I also loved my power wheels red four wheeler.
6. Do you have a nativity scene?
No. But, I really like the Willow Tree set. I might try to get one the day after Christmas.
7. Hardest person to buy for?
7. Hardest person to buy for?
My dad... He always says, "You don't need to buy me anything. Don't spend a lot of money." And, I also have a hard time buying for Dirty Santa games. It's hard to know what to get for a big group.
8. Easiest person to buy for?
I think I am pretty easy. I keep a little list on the post-it program on my Mac. So, if anyone asks, I can look back and tell them easily.
9. Mail or email Christmas cards?
I always mean to mail them. But, I never get around to it.
10. Favorite Christmas movie?
Four Christmases
11. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
I started in early November.
12. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
my Momo's sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, my mom's deviled eggs, and Sandy's chicken and dressing casserole
13. Clear lights or colored lights on the tree?
I like white lights on the tree.
14. Favorite Christmas song?
I like Elvis Christmas songs. Whenever I hear "Blue Christmas", it makes me think of my first class six years ago.... they loved that song and always sang the "ooh uh ooh" part. I can't believe they're middle schoolers now.
15. Travel or stay home at Christmas?
We are in and all over town on Christmas Eve, Christmas, and the day after.
16. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
probably
17. Angel on tree top or star?
This year I have a big bow.
18. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Morning?
Both.
19. The most annoying thing about this time of year?
Traffic!!! I need to go finish buying a few things tomorrow, but I am dreading the Wolfchase area.
20. What I love most about Christmas?
Jesus' birthday
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
