Seriously. I could go get in bed right now and pass out til tomorrow. I am that tired. It's a fight to keep my eyes open.
We had a really great day at school. The kids were all present (which makes it so much easier when you're always teaching something new), they were all working hard today and doing a good job of using manners. We got a lot done... practiced counting and writing numbers 0,1, and 2 (which is no small thing... that pesky 2 is quite difficult for some five year olds to write); practiced writing and making the sound for a, listening for "a" at the beginning of words, learned a new centers routine, and more. We were so busy today that every single child fell asleep at nap. After school I stayed for an hour to mentor new teachers. During that time, I confirmed the zoo's Wild on Wheels visit for April and talked with the good, but confused, people at Scholastic Book Club once again attempted to correct all the issues with my account.
I got home, fixed Mexican for dinner tonight, checked email, and am now listening to Gossip Girl (don't make fun), and listening to the sounds of Sam edging the yard. He has already alleviated my guilt about doing nothing for the rest of the night, except going to bed early, that is.
I have the sneaking suspicion that he is in such support of my early bedtime so that he can enjoy his Monday night football. The more power to him! Me... well, it's now 7:03 and well past my bedtime. :)
