Here I go... my very first blog!
It seems like this blogging concept is great idea! People can have a little glimpse into our life. And, it can be a great way to look back on my past events, too! Makes sense to me!

Well, so far...
I am three weeks into summer. With seven more to go, I want to make the most of it! A couple weeks ago (right at the beginning of my summer break), Sam and I went to Nashville and Chattanooga just to get away for a few days and celebrate our anniversary. Of course, the first twenty-four hours I had fun, but still worried about the pugs who were back at home. (I should have known Jon would do a great job with them!) Anyway, so we had a great time, went to the Tennessee Aquarium, shopped, and spent time together! That' a picture of me holding the most beautiful butterfly in an exhibit at the aquarium. Sam is in the giant spider crab tank tube!

I also just bought my first sewing machine! My goal this summer is to make seat sacks for my classroom - I will be teaching kindergarten next year. I also want to learn to make curtains and maybe tote bags or something. Or pillows! It's exciting to learn something new like that!

Last of the news for summer so far... I am having knee surgery on June 24! That is just 12 short days away! The knee doctor will go in my knee with a tiny camera, find the damaged part of my kneecap and cartilage, and shave/trim it off. Fascinating!! Hopefully he'll indulge me and let me see what the camera showed!!
