Camille is five months old!

This post is very late.  The last month of school is always so busy that it's easy to get behind on blogging.  So, it's time to catch up!

She had her first ear infection at the beginning of May, bless her heart.  I took her in for her re-check about two weeks ago.  She weighed 16lbs, 5 oz.!  She's getting so big so quickly!  I'm not sure about her height.  Just based on how she likes to be held (on her side facing me in my arms) and how much longer she feels, my guess is that she'll be 27" at her 6 month check-up.

Last night, I went through her closet and drawers and cleared out all of her clothes that are too small.  It makes me sentimental doing that.  She now is wearing mostly 6 month clothing but will soon be ready to start wearing more 9month sizes.

She is still wearing size 2 diapers.

Her favorite toys right now are:
her zebra hanging toy (We move that thing all around the house... it hangs on the carseat handle, from the bouncy seat, on the play gym, etc....)  Her eyes light up when she sees her zebra.
She is liking the bouncy activity center and really likes hitting the buttons on the "piano".  We also introduced her to the doorway jumper.  She still likes her little soft doll, too.  The play gym is still popular most of the time.

The last month was very busy.  The school year was winding down, and we were making plans for our family vacation.

Our routine has stayed very similar to the four month routine... up a 5 a.m., feed Camille her bottle, get ready, go to work while Camille hangs out with Stephanie or her Lala, come home, play, have dinner around 5:30 or 6, do bath time, read a book and let her fall asleep with us in the rocker, have a night time bottle around 9 p.m., and go to bed.

Camille is a very busy girl these days.  She wakes up cheerful, and we get tickled at how she does her pilates exercises when she wakes up... feet to hands, holds and rolls to the left and then back up again.  She starts giggling, too.  Speaking of giggling, her laugh is big and contagious!  She opens her mouth like a little bird when she sees her bottle or her food coming toward her.  When she is in our arms, she'll reach for things she likes... the ceiling fan, Tanner, a toy, Sam or me, or whatever else is interesting to her.

She likes green beans, peas, and squash.  She LOVES sweet potatoes.  She still takes 6-7 oz at each feeding.

In the last month, she...
* has started blowing raspberries at us like crazy!
* gotten so good at grasping, especially her mommy's hair
* went to Arlington in April and had handprint/footprint plaque made
* had her first ear infection
* made me so happy to celebrate Mother's Day for the first time

I love you, sugar puff!
