35 weeks and a doctor's appointment

I turned 35 weeks this past Thursday!
So, now the official countdown (as of today) is 30 days until the due date!  Exactly one month!  It's November 22.  I am due on December 22.  Unbelievable!

weight gain: 

10 lbs. total 

maternity clothes: 

still loving them!  My regular t-shirts are looking smaller, and my belly pushes down my regular comfy pants when I wear them.  It's funny to see (which is why I only wear them at home!)

gender: 

sweet girl

Camille's size: 

Baby center says she's heading toward the 6 pound mark and is around 18 1/2 in long. 

belly button:  

Still way out.  I had my belly button pierced when I was 16.  (Don't judge!)  Sam was looking at my piercing hole the other day and was marveling at how it has changed.  I am curious to see how it and my belly button itself will look when I am done being pregnant.

movement: 

Poor girl.  I know she's got to be cramped in there.  When I lie down, I can feel her stretch out.  When I am sitting and leaning back on the couch or standing, she often sticks out her little rear end, which makes my belly very lopsided, and runs her little foot up my belly and over to my ribs.  I am hoping she inherits a little of Sam's family's height.  If she does and if she's a long baby, I bet she's trying to find room to be comfy in my short torso.

cravings:  

I just want to eat.  Little meals and snacks are better for me since my stomach is a bit smushed right now.

what I miss:  

nothing, really

sleep: 

still loving the boppy pillow, still getting up every few hours to go to the bathroom.

Last night I dreamed that I went to the hospital to have her and that I ended up having identical twins.  In the dream, I asked how there could be two babies when we had so many ultrasounds and never saw the second baby.  He said that they were "copycat twins", meaning that one always hid behind the other and mimicked the exact same movements so that she wouldn't be seen behind the baby in front.  I also dreamed that I sent Sam out to shop for matching sparky teal swimsuits for them to wear as their going home outfits.

symptoms:

just lots of heartburn.  Sometimes my hips get tired; I read that it's due to hormones relaxing all my joints.

best moments this week:

* We got to hear her sweet little heartbeat yesterday at the dr.'s office.  It was around 145-150.  Dr. Neblett said that she sounds great and that I am doing everything perfectly.  Next week, he will start checking to see if I am dilated.  But, as of right now, he still thinks that I will probably have her very close to the due date.  I hope so, since that's Sam's birthday.

* Last Friday, my sweet kindergarten kids were making little lists of things they're thankful for.  Several of them wanted to add Camille to their lists.  Sweet babies.  I am excited to meet Camille and be on maternity leave with her, but I know I'll miss my 22 other children, too!

* This past weekend, Sam and I spent lots of time with friends and family.  That'll need its own post.

* I finally ordered the glider for her room.  Once that arrives at the end of the week, I'll post photos of her room.

* We got our new camera!  I am excited to practice using it and getting used to all the neat features!

* Her laundry is finished!
