This weekend Jen, Brianna, and I had a fun evening downtown.
Did we take any pics? No, not really. Oh, well!
We began our evening with dinner at Mesquite Chophouse. I had the loaded, fabuous deviled eggs (with chicken and bacon... yum!), Chef Michael's loaded mac and cheese (yum again!!), and pan seared brown sugar chipotle salmon. Dinner was delicious!
Then, we were off to the show.

If you haven't heard or seen any of the 14,982 radio and TV commercials about it playing in town, I'll go ahead and give you a little summary about the show:
Basically, it's based on a book by Gregory Maguire. The book, Wicked, tells what happened before Dorothy made her way to Oz and how Galinda and Elphaba (the wicked witch and the good witch) came to be who they were. The show was great, the scenery and costumes were beautiful, and the music was fun!
Here are a few of my favorite scenes, courtesy of Google images search (haha):

I loved when Galinda came down in her bubble. Too funny! Her lines and their tongue in cheek way of saying them tickled me.

"defying gravity"

They get to know one another when they had no choice. I had to include this one because I would've been so thrilled to have the chance to see Krisiin Chenoweth perform in this! Talk about amazing! I can always finish her book about her experience, I guess!
So, that was the biggest part of the weekend.
The week leading up to the show was fall break for my school system. I stayed home, cleaned, and relaxed. It was lovely!
