Christmas 08
The Christmas holiday and the family visits have almost come to an end. We have just one more visit this afternoon (Sam's dad's house) and our holiday visits with family will be done for the year. This has probably been one of my favorite Christmas "marathons" of all. On Thursday morning (Christmas morning), we went to my parents' to open gifts with them and Momo. This year we got Momo a velour track suit (she is 89 and looked so cute in her new outfit) and a book of devotionals, on for every morning and evening for the whole year). Sam made my parents Grizzlies "passes" that he customized on the computer; they can pick out up to 6 games to join us to see this year, using our season tickets and our ticket rep. We also got my parents a digital picture frame. Sam had spent the three days before Christmas loading 190 family photos one a time into our scanner and then onto the frame. My parents were both excited and moved to have the frame to be able to look back on my sister's and my childhood and our family's history.
We then went to my aunt and uncle's to have time with my whole family. It's nice to have time together to see everyone and watch my second cousins grow up more and more every year.
After that, we went to Sandy's. We gave the little kids a Wii cooking game (that Haley told us the boys loved! yay!), Horton Hears a Hoo for Breana, and a learning activity book for each kid, too.
For Christmas, Sam and I gave each other our new TV. From others, we received lots of great clothes, money for our fence, a quesadilla maker, and a bunch of other great things.

My cousin Tammy gave my Momo a knitted blanket that she made all by herself. Tammy and I got to talking about knitting, and now I am interested in learning more about it.

The time with family was great. But, the best part of these last few days was spending the whole day with Sam yesterday. We started off the day running a few errands and making a few exchanges. We had chicken biscuits at Chick fil A and then shopped for a while. We had a great time using some of our Christmas money to get some things we've been wanting... a pair of new shoes for him, a couple new pairs of shoes for me, and a book about knitting for me to learn a little more about it. We also picked up the movie Hancock. When we got home, we had chili dogs for dinner (yum!) and watched movies. Spending the whole day together was so nice.

In a few hours, we'll head to Jerry's for our last Christmas get together for the year. Happy holidays!
